MD was appointed to deliver a high-specification, multi-purpose facility for Robertson Geologging Ltd a world leader in borehole geophysics and subsurface data. Situated in Conwy, North Wales, the 20,500 sq ft scheme was developed to support their continued growth in global markets.

Outcome
Delivered in just nine months, the new headquarters for Robertson Geologging Ltd represents a bold step forward in functionality, innovation, and sustainability. The space seamlessly brings together research, engineering, manufacturing, and staff wellbeing helping the company attract and retain top-tier talent.
From a social value perspective, the project championed local regeneration at every opportunity. MD worked closely with local contractors and suppliers, reinforcing the company’s investment back into the North Wales economy. Even the external landscaping was handled with care using locally sourced stones from regional quarries rather than generic imported materials, providing a stronger sense of identity and place.
The end result is more than just a building, it’s a strategic asset designed to foster innovation, empower staff, and support long-term growth.

Since moving into the new facility, Robertson Geologging Ltd has scaled its operations and made waves internationally, most notably through securing a £1.5 billion data deal in support of a major hydroelectric scheme.
This milestone project demonstrates how high-quality infrastructure and intelligent design can directly support world-class achievements. With enhanced capacity for R&D and manufacturing, the company is now better equipped than ever to supply precision data to some of the world’s most ambitious energy and engineering initiatives.
